Cystic Fibrosis Research Challenge Program
A key component of CFRI’s Strategic Plan, our cystic fibrosis (CF) research program has funded nearly $10 million in research grants to help expand our understanding of the disease and advance the search for a cure for CF since 1975. While great progress has been made, there is still no cure. Please help us raise these crucial CF research funds for our New Horizons, Elizabeth Nash Memorial Fellowship and Special Circumstance research awards.
CFRI offers two complementary programs to fund these awards:
- Jessica Fredrick Memorial CF Research Challenge Circle (Challenge Circle), and
- Jessica Fredrick Memorial CF Research Challenge Fund (Challenge Fund).
Jessica Fredrick lost her battle with CF just weeks shy of her graduation from UC Los Angeles, and our Research Challenge Program honors her memory. Gifts to the Challenge Circle start at $2,500, offering an extraordinary opportunity to support CFRI. Inspiring others to give by matching, dollar-for-dollar, their donations to our New Horizons, Elizabeth Nash Memorial Fellowship and Special Circumstance research awards, your gifts effectively double their impact.
Gifts of any size to the Challenge Fund are also most welcome. Gifts to the Challenge Fund are designated to our CF research awards. In addition to direct donations designated for our research awards, gifts to the Challenge Fund are also made via CFRI’s Newsletter, CauseVox and Giving Tuesday campaigns.
